How does the QLab-style Rent-to-Own program work?+
Every single dollar you spend on Day Rentals or Per-Production Show Passes is recorded in your organization's Rent-to-Own equity bank. When you are ready to purchase a permanent Perpetual Venue License, 100% of your accumulated rental fees are deducted directly from the purchase price at checkout.
We are a high school that only does 1 or 2 shows a year. What is our best option?+
The K-12 Show Pass ($124.50 with educational discount). It grants your entire cast, student crew, and directors full access to the complete Broadway Suite for 60 days—covering pre-production, rehearsals, tech week, and your performance weekend. Once your show closes, there is zero recurring monthly billing. You pay nothing during the summer or winter hiatus.
How do schools qualify for the 50% K-12 educational discount?+
Any accredited public, private, or charter elementary, middle, or high school, as well as non-profit youth community theatres, qualify automatically. Register with your school email (.k12, .edu, or district domain) or submit your school name during checkout. The 50% discount applies across all Day Rentals, Show Passes, and Perpetual Licenses.
Can we rent or buy individual plugins without purchasing the whole bundle?+
Yes. CueTech is modular. If you only need SetForge 3D for scenic scanning and 1:48 diorama slicing, you can rent just SetForge 3D for $2/day (K-12) or $4/day (commercial). The same applies to our Wireless RF Audio Engine, Lighting & QLab OSC Bridge, or Stage Ops Prompt Book.
What happens during our off-season between productions?+
Your show data, scenic scans, audio patches, and prompt books remain safely stored in your account. You are never charged during dark months. When you begin your next production next season, simply activate a new Show Pass or Day Rental, and pick up right where you left off.
Can we add more rental days if our tech rehearsal schedule gets extended?+
Absolutely. You can add extra production days at any time directly from the top navigation ribbon with one click. Every added day continues to accumulate 100% toward your permanent license.
